For the past several days someone has been emailing me claiming he was from Consumer Reports and that he wanted me to write a column for the magazine. Turns out the entire thing was a lie. A prank, if you will. He even had a made up email address that looked like it was from Consumers Reports. It will certainly be up for consideration for Trickiest Something of the Year which is especially exciting considering Halloween is only a few days away.
