My Mom: There’s a big scratch on the front of my car. Did you hit something?
Me: Probably.
My Mom: What do you mean? You don’t know? Was it really The Girl and you are trying to protect her?
Me: No. She didn’t drive your car. I probably hit the garage or scraped the side of the house or something like that. I really don’t remember.
My Mom: Okay. No one loves you like your mother.
